Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed Ventures led a €385 million ($415 million) investment round that French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI has announced is complete. At this point, the company is worth about $2 billion. The money will go towards developing the company’s open-source software and technology.
Mistral AI is focused on chatbot development, generative AI tools, and open-source technology that can be customised. The company plans to provide its products to the public by the beginning of 2024. In June of this year, Mistral AI closed a $113 million seed round, valued at $260 million, as previously reported by Foresight News.
