OpenAI and news publishing behemoth Axel Springer have inked a multi-year licencing deal. As per the deal, OpenAI will cover the costs of using Axel Springer’s material on platforms including Bild and Welt in Europe and Politico and Business Insider in the United States. ChatGPT will utilise the content to train its artificial intelligence systems and generate answers.
An important development in the cooperation between artificial intelligence technology and the media sector is this alliance. Through leveraging Axel Springer’s extensive content library, OpenAI hopes to improve ChatGPT’s functionality and give consumers more precise and pertinent information. The agreement also emphasises how AI is becoming more and more significant in the media environment as businesses want to use cutting-edge technologies to enhance their products and maintain market competitiveness.
