Blockchain technology has been trending since the 2021 bull run. Even though the adoption of blockchain is getting diverse still many people are uneducated and unaware about it. The increasing adoption of blockchain in gaming is going to bring a revolution.
Blockchain in simple words is a chain of data blocks on a computer network and is transparent to all its users and to everybody else. It neither can be changed or moved. In this way, an intact history of everything that has happened on the network regarding the data is kept.
The system is decentralized, which means that there is no central authority owning and controlling the game, but the users own parts of the game like digital assets and items in the game.(The idea which came in Vitalik’s mind).

Blockchain in gaming and NFTs
On a blockchain in gaming, just like in cryptocurrency blockchain, you own a certain number of crypto coins, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or game specific, you are owning digital assets called NFT’s {Non fungible tokens}.
These are actually assets in the game, but you truly have them like you would own cryptocurrency and they are transferable, not only to a wallet but also outside of the game.
The system of NFTs.
Out of all the various use cases of NFTs, the most interesting one I find is in gaming.
NFTs have a specific token number ,which cannot be faked in a game, an NFT can be a sword, a bow, a shield, a staff, or a potion. It could be anything, these are just analogies. If you own such digital items, they can be yours forever and they can be rare too.
The rareness or scarcity of such NFTs in gaming will result in uniqueness for gamers. This is the difference blockchain in gaming
For ex: Let’s say in GTA V online you get Michael a unique set of clothes only available to you, or Franklin a car which only belongs to you in the whole ecosystem, or Trevor gets a unique AK or M4 skin.
Or in a game like Valorant where you can get different skins for guns and kill effects.
After your player dies, the NFT will be transferred on the blockchain and hence will come back to you.
There are many popular Blockchain games already.
Such as: Alien words,Splinterlands,Upland,CryptoBlades,Axie infinity etc.
The Gaming which we’re doing on a regular basis is slowly taking a turn ,and the adoption is getting diverse of Blockchain in gaming companies, with new ideas.
