In order to support forward-thinking projects, Ripple has partnered with DoraHacks to organize an online hackathon. The programmed aims to encourage developers from all backgrounds to develop original ideas and switch from centralized to decentralized systems.
The Summertime XRPL online hackathon was scheduled to take place from June 5 through June 30, 2023. The hackathon’s total prize fund is $60,000. This gives participants the chance to win up to $10,000 to support the advancement of their project. In addition to financing, they may also communicate with the Ripple staff for other types of assistance.
Even after the hackathon, Ripple’s partner DoraHacks encourages members to explore the various options on its site. Their utilization of various applications on its platform to enhance the outcome of their jobs was motivated by it.
For participating in assignments where people can collaborate with one another, DoraHacks has established a micro community. Through the Concepts Board section of the platform, registered users can participate in the conversation. The Concepts Board serves as a forum for recommendations, thought-sharing, staff formation, and suggestions in response to DoraHacks.
The choice of XRPL (XRP Ledger) as the platform for the train, according to the hackathon organisers, was made primarily because of the platform’s dependability. Additionally, the low value of XRPL and blockchain’s carbon neutrality make it suitable for business.
The stellar observation report and active community of XRPL, according to DoraHacks, were key factors in their decision to use the platform. It was noted that the XRP group is full of various businesses and organisations committed to offering innovative solutions and contributing to the Ledger’s advancement.
The hackathon is divided into three classes: Hooks, Tokenization, and Finance Monitor. Each category can have up to five winners, who are ranked first, second, and third, along with two honorable mentions.
Each project that advances to the winners’ class will get a set number of XRP tokens as payment. The top winners in each class are invited to a 30-minute virtual meeting with Ripple devRel to discuss their winning project.
