Philipp Plein, a German fashion designer, has purchased a big plot of land in Decentraland, the first virtual environment in the metaverse to be owned by its users, for 510 MANAs (the Decentraland’s own money, almost $1.4 million). It is 65 Decentraland parcels in size, which is roughly 16,400 square metres in real life.
Philipp Plein (born February 16, 1978) is a German fashion designer and the founder of the Philipp Plein International Group, which owns the Philipp Plein, Plein Sport, and Billionaire labels.
Plein’s early collections were vintage military jackets embellished with Swarovski skulls and sold at Paris’ Maison et Objet.Mischa Barton, Lindsay Lohan, Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Iggy Azalea, Grace Jones, Theophilus London, Fergie, Chris Brown, Jeremy Meeks, Paris Hilton, and Floyd Mayweathe are just a few of the superstars that have worked with Plein.
Plein Plaza will be the name of the estate. The bought real estate is in a prime location directly facing one of the Genesis Plazas, framed and accessible from two roadways. Luxury retail stores, entertainment, an art museum, a hotel, and luxury apartments are all planned for the future.

Plein Group, under the alias Bug$ Bunny, completed the transaction with the help of renowned blockchain, NFT, and metaverse expert Jason Rosenstein, founder and CEO of the NFT auction house and marketplace Portion, which will also be involved in the Plein Plaza’s conception, development, and planning alongside renowned digital artist Antony Tudisco.
The Plein Group has also stated that a real-world architect will be part of the team in charge of the Plein Plaza’s conception, development, and planning.
Decentraland (MANA) is a virtual reality platform based on the Ethereum blockchain that allows users to create, experience, and monetise content and apps.
Users acquire plots of land in this virtual environment, which they may then navigate, develop on, and monetize.
The price of Decentraland is $3.31 USD today, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1,238,658,181 USD. In the previous 24 hours, Decentraland has gained 8.09 percent. With a live market cap of $6,059,172,659 USD, the current CoinMarketCap ranking is 29.
