According to the transaction, the hackers stole almost 10 million WEMIX tokens, 61 BTC, 350.5 ETH, and 220,000 USDT.
According to on-chain data, the hacker exchanged USDT for ETH and sent 461 ETH to a cryptocurrency mixer.
According to South Korean cryptocurrency news, hackers stole around $13 million from the cryptocurrency exchange GDAC. The incident, according to the trade, happened on Sunday.
According to the market’s security update, the hackers moved almost 10 million WEMIX tokens, 220,000 USDT, 61 bitcoin, 350 ether, and other cryptocurrency from its hot wallets.
Around $13 million worth of cryptocurrency were lost as a result of the attack, making up 23% of the total trading value.
GDAC suspended its pockets system and stopped deposits and withdrawals as a result of the attack. The firm also disclosed that it has reported the hack to the authorities in South Korea and asked for a cyber probe.
461 ETH are sent to Twister Money by a hacker.
According to GDAC, the assets were seized from its deep pockets, and the hackers moved the money to an unidentified crypto wallet.
While GDAC claims to be collaborating with Korean security experts and authorities to recover the money, crypto market research firm Arkham reports that the hacker has converted the USDT into ETH.
On Monday, the blockchain intelligence platform disclosed that the attacker had already sent almost 461 ETH to the cryptocurrency mixing platform Twister Money.
