The French investment firm Eurazeo led a $36 million Series C pre-financing round for the blockchain insurance technology startup Igloo, which also included participation from Openspace Ventures and La Maison. The money will be utilised to fortify its data infrastructure and assist acquisition activities in the upcoming year. Igloo, a 2016 startup, has introduced Ignite by Igloo, an AI-powered platform for increasing efficiency for sales intermediates in Vietnam. It is also accessible in Indonesia.
Additionally, the business has launched a blockchain-based Weather Index Insurance program that targets particularly unfavorable weather conditions for farmers in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. As previously reported by Foresight News in November 2022, TechCrunch claims that blockchain insurance technology firm Igloo has raised an additional $27 million, bringing its Series B fundraising total to $46 million. InsuResilience Investment Fund II, a division of the German development bank KfW, WAM, Finnfund, La Maison, and Cathay Innovation were among the participants in the round.
