Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of Shiba Inu, has made a hint about a forthcoming surprise that is especially tailored for LEASH token owners. Earlier today, Kusama announced plans to reveal something specific on Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST, and a new usage for the Leash token will be unveiled the following day.
Among the three native tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem (alongside BONE and SHIB), the Leash token also referred to as the “Doge Killer,” is one. The LEASH cryptocurrency offers its holders the possibility to earn significant returns when staked on ShibaSwap.
Its current value, according to data from CoinGecko, is $562.40. Its market capitalization is at $60.16 million. The group’s reaction to Kusama’s trace has been mixed; while many are eagerly expecting the news, others adopt a more circumspect position, emphasising the need for the Shiba Inu administration to keep their word.
The upcoming release of Shibarium layer-2, which was earlier planned for August, is another factor raising anticipation.
As of August 13, this improvement, intended to speed up transactions and reduce fees, has not yet been launched on the mainnet. Despite the delay, the Shiba Inu crew has continued to promote the “Summer time of Shibarium,” implying that more bulletins could be coming soon.
The Shiba Inu team recently requested the cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin to list the BONE and LEASH tokens around the same time.
