Starbucks Korea is advancing both customer service and environmental initiatives. The latest comes after the company in Korea declared that customers who bring their own reusable containers with them will receive rewards. In return for a prize, customers are urged to bring their own cups. Sandeep Nailwal and Polygon Labs have both acknowledged the development on On X, previously Twitter.
Starbucks Korea has verified that using a customised cup every time allows customers to receive eco-stamps. When a customer purchases a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), the eco-stamps they have accrued will be redeemed from their Starbucks application wallet.
Among other categories, NFTs have been assigned to Basic, Creative, and Artist. Each customer is limited to one NFT, which is purchased in accordance with the quantity of stamps they have accrued and used. There will be a tentative public release of additional process specifics in January. Next month is when the Starbucks application wallet is expected to launch. It will be supported by new Tumbler coupon policy.
Starbucks Korea’s Head of Marketing, Kim Beom-soo, has stated that the company wants to become a star in the environmental space and a catalyst for positive change.
The launch of the Tumbler voucher coincides with the growing popularity of reusable cups. As of 2022, the figure remains constant at 25.3 million. In 2020, 17.39 million customers used personal cups; 21.9 million did the same the following year. It is anticipated that there would be as many as 29.6 million by the end of this year.
NFTs have been very helpful to artists and other creators in maintaining their works. Until they are sold in a market, digital tokens are unchangeable and true to their owner. Every industry, including but not limited to music and art, is using them more and more.
The Polygon community is currently optimistic about the MATIC prognosis. The token’s 31.27% rise over the previous seven days is proof of this. It is trading at $1.02 right now, and in the coming months, it is expected to surpass the $1.5 milestone.
Two more events are something Polygon Labs is excited about.
First, on December 29, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. UTC, Polygon Labs has arranged a session on crypto compliance and regulations on X. It will include DappRadar, the Aragon Project, and Irina Heaver as guests.
Starbucks Korea is using NFTs from Polygon. It is advised that patrons place more orders in personal cups to earn eco-stamps that can be exchanged for NFTs. In January of the following year, Starbucks Korea will reveal more details about the modification.
