Yesterday, there was an increase in trade activity on the X platform for Terra, which resulted in network congestion. The TFL core team has responded by putting two separate solutions into place. In order to reduce spam, they first worked with Terra validators to raise the minimum Gas payments needed to complete transactions. Second, to lower the amount of incorrect transactions in a particular block, the TFL core team updated Terra validators with a non-consensus interrupt patch.
The core team is investigating a dynamic charge structure that will modify Terra‘s minimum petrol prices to account for varying network demand in order to prevent similar problems in the future and prevent manual intervention during times of extreme network congestion.
