On X/Twitter, TRON recently unveiled its new Bitcoin Layer 2 solution and roadmap. On the TRON network, the solution will decentralize and entwine different tokens. Stablecoins, a network integration of TRON with BTC, and associated L2s such as Bitcoin Ordinals will be among the tokens. In addition to providing access to Bitcoin’s worth of 55 billion dollars, the integration will connect TRON and Bitcoin.
As a result, the innovation will give Bitcoin more financial life and benefit the industry as a whole. The price of TRX has increased by 1.37% in the last day due to the announcement. The coin has increased 7.81% in value over the last week and is currently trading at $0.1319. The most recent TRON prediction states that in 2024, the coin should be worth 0.172 USD.
Returning to the most recent announcement, TRON also discussed its intentions’ roadmap. The tweets stated that exchanges drive conversions while BTC is now available to TRON through cross-chains.
TRON will bridge Bitcoin network-based assets to TRON in the first phase of its plan. Networks will adapt to use cross-chains to incorporate various TRON tokens, such as SUN, TRX, USDT, USDC, BTT, WIN, NFT, etc., into the BTC network.
TRON tokens will be able to communicate and function with the BTC network thanks to the integration. To support BRC-20 coins, TRON intends to invest on wallets and user-centric features. It marks the introduction of TRON DAO into Ordinals and Bitcoin L2 solutions.
In the subsequent phase, TRON will collaborate with several BTC L2 protocols. Users will be able to participate in staking operations across several Bitcoin L2 networks thanks to these collaborations. Utilising TRON’s asset portfolio, it will aid in the expansion of the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem.
A third-stage L2 solution integrating the BTTC, BTC, and TRON networks will be unveiled. The protocol that comes with the solution can keep POS systems’ quickness and cheap fees while still being compatible with Bitcoin. When utilising Bitcoin L2 solutions, the protocol will additionally adhere to UTXO and POW security precautions.
