According to the host of the Altcoin Day by Day YouTube channel, former U.S. President Trump has cryptocurrency investments. The host of Altcoin Day by Day expounded on the recent findings of Trump’s cryptocurrency holdings in a video posted on YouTube.
According to the host of the YouTube channel, Trump’s most recent financial report shows he has ETH in his possession. That represents a significant departure from the former President’s position on cryptocurrencies. The host highlighted Trump’s earlier criticism of Bitcoin in his remarks.
Trump stated in an interview from two years ago that Bitcoin seemed to be a scam. He vehemently declared his distaste for the first Bitcoin since it was yet another form of foreign currency competing with the dollar. Trump stated that he needs the dollar to serve as the global reserve currency. He criticised the Chinese government for cracking down on cryptocurrencies a year after making that claim.
Trump highlighted his support for the dollar and stated that he believes China’s crackdown on cryptocurrencies was prompted by the Asian giant’s intention to launch a domestic cryptocurrency. Trump stated that he didn’t want other currencies to emerge and harm or degrade the dollar in any way.
Despite his public support for the US dollar, recent evidence suggests Donald Trump owns Ethereum. Based on an individual known as Whale who used the X app (formerly Twitter), Trump earned $2.8 million from his ETH holdings. The individual went on to add that Trump also received more than $4.8 million in licencing fees connected to his NFT on Ethereum.
Trump released a limited edition of 44,000 NFTs in December 2022 that resembled cartoonish playing cards for purchasing and trading. The initial drop was a huge success, and all of the newly-minted NFTs are now actively marketing. The former President launched a second batch of NFTs in April 2023, with a similar outcome.
According to recent filings, Trump has profited significantly from his investments in cryptocurrency. Given his distinctive position as a critic of the novel competence, this rise comes with a point of debate.
