China Telecom and Conflux Community have announced a collaboration to bring Blockchain SIM playing cards (BSIM) to market. The entry-level Web3 product would be the most extensive blockchain hardware product in the world, with the most customers and uses. Later this year, China Telecom will launch the first BSIM pilot program in Blockchain. Pilots will likely implement this in key mainland China areas corresponding to Shanghai.
BSIM will significantly lower the barrier to entry for China Telecom’s 390 million cell phone subscribers while also making transactions faster and safer. The goal is to make cell phones safer by making telecom customers’ private digital property safer.

The BSIM card incorporates Conflux’s Tree-graph, dual proof of stake, and evidence of labor expertise, allowing for the highest system efficiency of any blockchain on the planet. It uses the hardware security features of SIM playing cards to protect customers’ keys, making it a secure and convenient Web3 entry solution.
The BSIM Card looks identical to a standard SIM card, but its storage capacity is 10-20 times greater than that of a standard SIM card, and its computing power is multiplied by tens of times. Customers who switch to a BSIM card can safely retail digital property, change their digital property conveniently, and display their property for various purposes.
The BSIM card will manage & store the consumer’s private and non-private keys within the card and perform digital signatures so that the personal key does not leave the card. The BSIM card can also support encrypted storage, key retrieval, and other operations. To ensure the security of private digital property, the built-in Bluetooth module will most likely be responsible for the signature and transfer of property. This reduces the possibility of the consumer being attacked by viruses & other malicious software on the cell phone.
Customers’ conventional identifiers, such as cell phone numbers, may be linked to their Decentralized Identifiers (DID). This may allow for greater integration and interaction of digital and real-world data. BSIM playing cards can be combined with summary accounts based on sensible contracts, allowing blockchain purposes to use customers’ crypto and traditional world data securely and effectively. Connecting DID to mobile phone numbers may also alleviate some of the regulatory concerns raised by the anonymity of blockchain expertise.
Conflux Community and China Telecom signed a preliminary agreement in 2022. This prototype results from a year-long strategic collaboration to build hardware merchandise at the entrance to the world’s metaverse.
The BSIM card’s research and development section are now complete, & it has successfully connected with Conflux’s primary community in the testing environment. This prototype has digital property storage and transmission capabilities. Conflux and China Telecom will now focus on expanding the ecological purposes of the BSIM card, focusing on video games, funds, and other fields.
